Job Description
- Maintain & Support SAP ERP 7.0 System based upon SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Architecture, with Oracle RAC and AIX, GPFS
- Perform core SAP NetWeaver/Basis & DB Administration activities in the SAP ERP Landscape.
- Monitor and maintain SAP ERP Application and ERP Database operations and tune settings for optimal system performance
- Perform regular Oracle Table reorganizations, and index rebuilds using SAP Standard and 3rd Party tools, to ensure optimal system performance
- Configure and use Solution Manager to monitor and administer SAP Product Systems. Perform EarlyWatch analysis and apply recommendations.
- Perform System copies/refreshes, plan and execute on Fail-Over and DR events & tests
- Plan and execute semi-annual application of software patches for both ABAP & JAVA engines, as required.
- Provide daily support to SAP ERP Users with system and reporting problems
- Provide daily monitoring of ERP Logs and support with SAP ERP Data Loads/Extracts
- Monitor System Statistics for overall system performance and optimization in conjunction with configuration team
- Perform Daily System Health Checks on SAP ERP systems and do general troubleshooting and diagnostics checks on technical aspects of the system.
- Monitor backups and resolve issues.
- Maintain SAP ERP System Landscapes and operate Change Management Tools using and JPMC change control methodology. Perform SAP ERP transports.
- Open Message with SAP to resolve system issues
- Setup of User Printers within SAP, as well as support the installation of Front-end Gui's for end-users.
Qualifications
Required Technical Skills:
- 5 years of SAP ERP experience specifically focused in NetWeaver, Web Application Server (WebAS) & Java Application Server (JavaAS) experience on Unix (AIX 5.3 preferred) and ORACLE (10g preferred)
- Experience with SAP ERP Operations, Maintenance and Application of Support Packs.
- Strong working knowledge of Unix OS, Unix Scripting, SQL Scripting, ABAP and Java will be essential
- Ability to perform SAP and DB performance tuning including the usage of SAP and Oracle tools
- Experience with changing SAP R/3 system configuration, system profiles, application of upgrades and support packs.
- Experience with Backup, Restore & Recovery with SAP Tools
- Experience with performing Oracle Database Administration including Table reorganizations using SAP and Oracle Tools
- Experience in supporting of minor Projects, Development, Testing and Production Operations, System Copies/Refreshes and Oracle Database Administration using certified Oracle and SAP Tools and Methodologies.
- Applicant must have strong English written and oral communication skills to effectively execute your responsibilities as part of a highly skilled dynamic SAP Technical Team.

- B.S. or equivalent degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field
- Candidate must be willing to work non-regulars hours to facilitate system maintenance activities
