Job Description
v Provide messaging engineering (upgrades, 2nd level technical support/administration, backup/recovery, performance measurement and capacity planning) in support of a large, centralized Exchange environment servicing 30,000+ mail clients.
v Provides support to Helpdesk team resolving escalate issues in Helpdesk for Email related issues.
v ADP will be implementing Exchange 2007 and this associate will learn and be hands on with this technology
v Plans or conducts research projects to identify and evaluate emerging Email technologies
v Design and implement fault tolerant and disaster recovery solutions
v Designs "proof of concept" scenarios & test cases in support of Email initiatives
v Develops plans and strategies to introduce new messaging technologies into the environment
v Interface with Information Security, Network Engineering, Internet Engineering, Help Desk, Business Partners and functional groups
v Remain up to date on current & emerging trends in Email/messaging technology
v Provides technical expertise to other Associates
v Proposes, evaluates, analyzes, recommends, develops, and integrates Email based hardware and software system platforms
v Develop automated procedures and technical documentation to be utilized in the implementation and maintenance processes.
v Work with software and hardware vendors, internal organizations, and business units to provide integrated Email technology and business solutions.
v Interface with vendors to resolve any issues/conflicts with any issues
Skills
Overall 3 - 8 years experience in Email & networking environments with experience in the following:
v In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 5.5/2000/2003 and Outlook 98/2000/2002/2003
v Ability to architect, evaluate and plan Email infrastructure, deployment and administration
v Automate Microsoft client and server operating systems (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, 2003), Microsoft Active Directory & Internet Information Server
v High Availability (e.g. Microsoft 2000/2003 Clustering Services) and Disaster Recovery solutions
v Email support software/technologies (anti-virus, anti-SPAM, auditing)
v Planning and execution of a large scale Email implementations
v IBM Netfinity Family Of Servers; EMC SAN; NetIQ; VERITAS
v Local Area Networks, Ethernet, token-ring, TCP/IP, remote access communications (VPN etc).
v Expertise in scripting technologies using VBscript and Perl with good knowledge on ADSI and Exchange are desired.
v Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer preferred
v You will be required to adhere and enforce the security policies of the organization
