Regional Sales Manager (TSD) - India

Job Description

The Sales Consultant will be based in Delhi, Mumbai or Bangalore and reporting directly to the Regional Sales Director. 

Responsibilities for this position include the following: 
Selling the company's products and services directly to end-users or through channels 
Managing, directing, and executing sales efforts within their assigned territory and area 
Developing and implementing sales strategies and tactics in concert with company plans, goals and practices 
Achieving the territory bookings goals by developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory, industry, or product segment 
Developing territory sales and bookings forecasts 
Conducting sales calls-communicating with customers at all levels 
Communicating to the company the business climate of their assigned territory
Communicating the needs of customers and the sales organization to the manufacturing divisions and product management teams in the US 
Preparing, monitoring and working within a budget including all monthly expense and activity reports 
Managing sales engineering staff, and potentially sales administration staff 

Essential qualifications and credentials include: 
A minimum of 10 years sales experience in telecommunications and data communications industry 
B.S. degree in a technical or business field, technical school degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 
Effective communication skills (receive and express technical and business information clearly and concisely) 
Relating skills necessary to interface with customers at all levels 
Channel management skills and contacts within India telecom market 
Technical awareness of telecom and datacom networking concepts 
Sales management skills 
Successful selling telecom in BSNL, Reliance, Airtel, Vodafone, Tata, Idea, and Aircel 

Desired credentials and skills include: 
Fluency in more than 2 languages 
Experience working with US HQ companies 
Key account manager for major operator from Cisco, Alcatel, Nokia, Nortel, Ericsson, or similar 
Experience working from a home office
