Morgan Stanley Real Estate is Morgan Stanley's global real estate practice and a fully integrated group within the Investment Management Division that provides real estate clients worldwide with strategic advice and transaction execution. The group has approximately $80 Bn. of real estate assets under management globally. Morgan Stanley Real Estate's primary objective is to provide clients superior investment performance and first-class service.
Recent growth and subsequently the challenging years have highlighted the need to improve the technology platforms within the division. Hence efforts are underway to enhance or revamp front-to-back processes and related platforms to provide the business with a strategic advantage against our competition.
IT Role / Responsibilities description:
• Create and deliver high-quality technology solutions to business problems as part of a global team
• Coordinate development with offsite consultants to meet deliverables
• Interact with global and regional clients (in the BU) for support
• Support Morgan Stanley's software development processes and standards

MSAS IT collaborates with teams in North America, Europe and Asia to develop leading edge proprietary software to support business-critical functions. Skills Required
• Candidate must possess a passion for working with technology and must demonstrate ability to meet complex business requirements with innovative technology solutions
• 5+ years experience with Asp.Net, C#.Net, SQL Server or Sybase DB designing & stored procs, HTML, Javascript, XML/SOAP, XSL, XQuery
• 5+ years experience with Spring & NHibernate, Infragistics, advanced Javascript, NUnit, NMock or similar tools
• Experienced in Object Oriented Analysis and Design & Design patterns (5+ years)
• Knowledge of Perforce or other source control system
• Experience with Ajax, Java, Perl, Unix shell scripts is a plus
• Past experience in working with Business Objects Reporting Platform is a plus
• Hands on experience with strong technical, analytical and quantitative skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a Global team
• Developing high-quality software according to Morgan Stanley's (the team's) standards and Specifications
Experience level - 5 to 7 years
Prior experience as technical lead is a plus Skills Desired
•Financial Industry experience (preferred but not required)
•Knowledge of ETL tools like Informatica desirable |
