Job description The requirement is for multiple Positions. Find the details of the Job Descripion for each of the same herewith:- Oracle Apps: DBA is responsible for Database & Application Tuning, Database Cloning, Patch Application, Unix Shell Scripting, Upgrade & Installation of Oracle Applications, Backup & Recovery, and Documentation. Must have Oracle 11i Applications DBA experience and Oracle 8i/9i database experience. & Unix, Solaris Initiating, testing, documenting, and managing Oracle application Technical Assistance Requests (TAR) to resolution; performing backup and recovery procedures; performing capacity planning; participating in the planning and direction of applications strategy to ensure alignment with overall technical and company objectives. Candidate must be self-motivated, assertive while possessing the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a team environment ability to effectively interface and team with all levels of the organization. Open to work in Odd / Shift Hours. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oracle DBA: "Candidate must have good Oracle Database administration experience including performance tuning on all major unix platforms Must have Hands on experience with RMAN backup and Recovery. Should have experience in setting up RMAN backup with Legato,Netbackup and Tivoli. Should have experience in Unix shell scripting. Should have experience in setting up RMAN backup for cluster,RAC. Should have experience in alternate client restore using RMAN. Should be familiar with Disaster Recovery Setup and maintenance. Should have hands on experience in ODG setup. Candidate should be willing to work in 24x7 shifts and on call support and weekend support. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Storage Administrator : "Candidate must have good technical knowledge of Legato Networker and/or Veritas Netbckup systems. Also must have a good Unix administration experience. Knowledge or training of EMC, Hitachi, McData, Brocade, networking, IP Protocols, and EMC CC 5.1 is a plus. Strong understanding of Operational processes and best practices primarily related to backup/recovery and SAN technology. Must be able to proactively document. Ability to lead, multitask and work well in a team environment. Strong problem ownership and strong analytical skills. Candidate must be able to communicate with external and internal customers. Self-starter and innovative. . Provide day-to-day backup/recovery technical support along side with US based backup administrator.. Responsible for the reliability of AOD?s backups. Implement and maintain an alert system for failed backups using existing tools or scripts. . Perform tape management procedures. Implement corporate backup/restore policies to support reliable recoverability of AOD infrastructure and customer environments.. Create and maintain support documentation and SOPs.? Install, configure and maintain Legato and/or Veritas backup systems. . Maintain BCV (3rd mirror) based backups and refreshes. ? Identify areas of where automation will benefit and work with engineering/technical team to automate.. Test and deploy new backup and storage solutions.. Understand various recovery scenarios in different environments to effectively support business objectives and SLAs regarding backup and recovery of customer environments. . Continuously monitor and proactively improve backup configuration to meet execution windows, throughput and backup data reduction. ? Requires good verbal and written communications skills. ? Be available for 24x7 on call support and weekend work as per project or staffing need The requirement is for multiple Positions. Required
Bachelor's Degree in Economics At least 1 year experience in Oracle Apps : Database and Application Tuning, Database Cloning, Patch Application, Unix Shell Scripting, Upgrade and Installation of Oracle Applications, Backup and Recovery, and Documentation. At least 1 year experience in Oracle Apps : Must have Oracle 11i Applications DBA experience and Oracle 8i/9i database experience. and Unix, Solaris At least 1 year experience in Oracle DBA: Oracle DB Admn Experience,performance tuning on all major UNIX Platforms, RMAN Backup with Legato, Netbackup and Tivoli At least 1 year experience in Oracle DBA: Experience in OD, Shell Scripting, , Disaster Recovery setup, Must have Hands on experience with RMAN backup and Recovery, Open to work in odd hours / shifts,should have hands on experience in ODG setup. At least 1 year experience in Storage : Technical Knowledge of Legato and Veritas Netbackup Systems At least 1 year experience in Storage : Strong understanding of Operational processes and best practices primarily related to backup/recovery and SAN technology, Good Unix Experience At least 1 year experience in Storage : Knowledge or training of EMC, Hitachi, McData, Brocade, networking, IP Protocols, and EMC CC 5.1 is a plus English: Fluent
