Details about the position:
Position: Accounts Payable Manager
Location: Hyderabad
Requisites:
B.com / MBA/ CA with minimum of 7-10 years of direct supervision, be able to motivate, coach and mentor staff to become a solid strong group with open communication and team efforts
Strong ERP mainframe experience is preferred as it relates to Accounts Payable accounting, preferably Oracle 11i Payables module
Strong knowledge of GAAP and solid understanding of the overall AP and GL Accounting process
Strong leadership skills to lead and develop the Accounts Payable team
Key Responsibilities
- AP Manager is responsible for managing the accounting staff to meet departmental objectives and to maximize team and individual capabilities. This includes developing staff members to grow to their full potential when possible.
- Review department performance via monthly AP SLA metrics and ensure SOX compliance.
- Maintain effective liaison with various departments, specifically the inventory purchasing group and ensure all inventory suppliers are current and resolve holds within 10 business days of being entered into Oracle
- Evaluate, develop, and improve all aspects of AP processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
- Manage the documentation and maintenance of the department’s policies and procedures. Frequently interacts with management regarding policy implementation and improvement as well as swaying opinion for effective policy changes.
- Coordinate with the AP staff accountant with all aspects of the AP month-end, and close activities ensuring the accuracy of each reported transaction.
- Provide technical training as required to current AP personnel and new hires for both full time and temporary employees. Monitor departmental employee objectives and create A &O’s for each individual
- Assistant in establishing and monitoring internal controls and cash forecast preparation
- Manage the Corporate Card program including iExpense Travel / Entertainment program and purchasing card program
- Make recommendations to management for system and/or process flow improvements.
- Perform various duties and special projects as requested.
