Job Description

JPMorgan Worldwide Securities Services (WSS) is a global leader in custody, securities lending, fund accounting and administration. This is a global business supporting clients and financial institutions worldwide. Worldwide Securities Services is one of two major business lines under JPMorgan Treasury & Security Services (TSS); the other line of business being Treasury Services (TS).

Position/Project Description:
The WSS Technology department supports hundreds of applications across different technology platforms including Unix/ Linux, Windows, Mainframe, and midrange technologies. Key applications that will be supported from this location include: Custody, Fund Services, Client Service and Straight Through Processing.

The global technology teams are located in several sites across the US (New York, Tampa, Dallas), Mumbai and Bangalore, India, UK (London and Bournemouth), Hong Kong and Australia (Sydney).

There is a need to fill a role for a WSS Mumbai Technology Executive who will lead the various teams in the India site as well as be a part of the WSS Global Technology leadership. This individual's responsibilities will include:

1) Serve as the Senior Technology Leader for all WSS Technology teams in India. Lead and direct current workforce of over 300 professionals Develop the strategic direction and growth of Indian technology centers Face off with local business leadership and global business partners Build, train and develop depth and skill of technology staff to improve overall delivery stream and quality of our application portfolio

2) Responsible for hiring the remainder of the Mumbai/Bangalore teams and working with Functional Managers on their growth plans for the site. Currently there are 300 employees in Mumbai and our growth plan for the 2010 year will continue to expand the employees in India. Work with India HR in recruiting top talent (i.e. coordinating weekend recruitment drives, resume screening, interviewing, branding, etc.) Collaborate and work closely with the TSS Operations Manager  Coordinate On-boarding & Off-boarding of staff

3) Enforce Risk & Compliance policies across all Technology teams Follow restrictions on data access, protecting our client's personal information Ensure proper security controls are in place Coordinate Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans for the Mumbai and Bangalore sites

4) Organize the production of weekly metrics per team for work in progress and prioritization and capacity. Establish relationship with the Local Risk manager, Audit and Global Managers in order to address all matters efficiently and effectively.

The candidate will report into a Global technology manager as well as have local line of report, and will indirectly coordinate issues, problems and concerns for all teams and help to resolve them with each team and with the Functional Managers. The relationship between the Location Manager and the Functional Managers for each of the teams is critical and will require strong lines of communication in order to build a successful partnership.

Technical Requirements

*10-15 years of work experience managing high performing Technology groups
*Familiar with and understands Financial Services applications on several platforms: Mainframe, Client Server, Batch/Middleware, etc.
*Track record of successful systems development and implementation

Business Requirements

*College degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
*Familiarity with outsourcing operating models and working with geographically dispersed teams
*Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry
*Strong business analysis skills


Management Experience

*10+ years of managing large scale, multi functional technology organizations
Demonstrated leadership skills in managing people, building a culture of high performance and disciplined business administration skills
In-depth experience working effectively with senior technology managers in a highly interactive manner.
Demonstrated expertise in successful service delivery management
Willingness and ability to challenge existing approaches to business processes
Excellent written and verbal skills, with an ability to present to mid and senior management within Technology, as well as business management
Experience with establishing financial goals, tracking and driving optimization opportunities and presenting progress of same
Strong business analysis skills
