Required Skills:

Proven experience of operations within a large computing organisation with a knowledge of a number of the products.

Demonstrate a wide range of skills with a number of products across mainframe or mid-range systems
Essential Skills: TSO, JCL, CICS, MVS, JES, VTAM, OPC/TWS, TWS/FTA’s, MS Office, Informan
Beneficial Skills: TWS/Graph. REXX. CLISTSs
Gain the maximum knowledge of all scheduling requirements to support all processing requirements need to support the business application and housekeeping needs.
Obtain and maintain a good knowledge of all applications, platforms, software and scheduling tools to enable concise schedules to be developed and maintained for all supported businesses.
As part of the team produce, document and maintain all production schedules and submit all overnight/weekend-processing schedules to the shift personnel for execution. Ensuring that all scheduling dates, calendar flags and parameters have been prepared and checked prior to submission.
Liaise closely with the application support and technical support groups for the planning and installation of changes to both the application and processing scheduling cycles.
Provide input in the preparation of Processing Bulletins highlighting any special events/deviations to the normal processing schedules, ensuring that any scheduled outages and all potential impacts have been escalated to the Service Relationship Group for approval and notification.
Review processing trends, ensuring that any potential risks (such as extending processing times, cut-off time delays etc) are communicated to management so that remedial action can be progressed.
