We have the following positions in our Bangalore Office:

Key Responsibilities 
1. Ensure GOIS has done an exercise in identifying its scope and objectives for managing Business Continuity Management. Perform this exercise annually.

2. Manage how business continuity is dealt with in GOIS and all service centers and how the information security requirements are addressed as part of Business Continuity Management (BCM).

3. Monitor the comprehensiveness of the GOIS (and all service centers’) BCP implementation related to the restoration of IT operations and to ensure availability of information following an interruption or failure of critical business processes.

4. Make sure the GOIS global BCP effort is integrated with the Crisis Management Plan (CMP), Emergency Response Plan (ERP), the various Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) and the Pandemics Policy. Keep these documents up-to-date.

5. Ensure there is an up-to-date and documented GOIS crisis communication plan. Review this plan to ensure its adequacy.

6. Conduct an impact analysis (BIA) for GOIS to identify critical business processes, resources and the maximum acceptable outages of each. Propagate this process to all service locations.

7. Assist to define the GOIS BCM risk assessment strategy. Help that risks are identified as well as the measures used to address them.

8. Manage the worldwide BCP test plan. Assist all service centers to test their BCP plans.

9. Ensure that GOIS and all service centers update the BCP plans annually, to ensure they are current and efficient. Identify significant global changes in statutory, contractual and organizational requirements (e.g., contact list, staff reduction) that need to be considered.

10. Manage the GOIS BCM training efforts. Assist all service centers to conduct and assess training and awareness sessions on BCM.

11. Manage the worldwide GOIS BCM audit plan. Ensure that all service centers’ Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) includes an Internal Audit or an independent third party audit to provide regular assurance on the efficiency of the business continuity plan and associated plans.

12. Manage that the GOIS and all service centers' contracts and service level agreements clearly define the service providers' responsibilities (with respect to the organization's business continuity plan) and enable the organization to monitor its compliance.

13. Work towards a future certification to BS25999 (or successor ISO standard).

14. Provide the first level global escalation point for BCM incidents: register, resolve or escalate.

15. Issue BCM Meeting invitations (manage agenda) and lead the meetings when the GOIS CSO is not available (vacation, illness …).

16. Create, publish and publicly store the Minutes of the BCM meetings. 

17. Follow-up on Action items, keep tab of their status; chasing up and closing the action items with comment when resolved.

18. Solicit, chase, combine and consolidate regular BCM Activity/Status reports (either freestanding or as part of the regular security activity reports) from all service centers.

19. Create a monthly report (Quad Chart or equivalent) outlining the status of the BCM projects.

20. Facilitate Knowledge Management and Information exchange for BCM.

21. Provide maintenance of the BCM section of the ISO27000 Security Sharepoint Portal. 

22. Oversee the BCM document control processes, manage approval trees and cycles.

23. Ensure frequent reviews and updating of all BCM policies and documents as per ISO27001 PDCA are carried out. This is to include BCM Org-charts and escalation telephone numbers.

24. Maintain the existing BCP templates to be used in all locations and keep them up-to-date. Ensure that all service locations also update their plans in line with any change of the global templates.

25. Support all BCM Audits throughout the year (BSI, internal and clients), specifically by providing to auditors the required policies, links to knowledgeable staff, etc.

26. Maintain the spreadsheet that controls the status of our BCM CAP (Corrective Action Plans).

27. Maintain the BeATo BCM KPI set and the PLATO business process impact table. Also collect worldwide BCM metrics via BeATo, either via the regular assessments or in addition to the current ISO27001 BeATo assessments. Create reports for the quarterly BCM metrics reporting.

28. Responsible for the maintenance of the APAC BCM activities.

29. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


Knowledge and Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science) or equivalent information security experience.

2. Ideally has a security certification such as CISA and has shown support/management experience in previous positions.

3. Must have a minimum number of 5 years of relevant working-experience.

4. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork capabilities in order to build relationships and confidence among business users.

5. Ability to work individually but also to collaborate in a virtual team, with partners and clients during audit assignments.

6. Have experience in acquiring and maintaining an ISO27001 or BS25999 certification.

7. Must have a good understanding of information technology and information security.

8. Must be an intelligent, articulate and persuasive individual who can serve as an effective advisor to the GOIS management team and who is able to communicate BCM-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff. 

9. Practical knowledge of managing Microsoft Sharepoint.

10. Detailed understanding and/or practical experience of the Risk Assessment process.

11. Should have experience with business continuity planning, auditing, and risk management, and ideally also with contract and vendor negotiation. 

12. Change management and project planning skills. 

13. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills in English
