Description

CAD Engineer in CDS team in Bangalore. CDS team develops, deploys and supports EDA solutions for silicon design teams at the Bangalore site and also proliferates solutions to design teams at other sites. In this position, you will be responsible for the development of automation flow software for internal and external EDA tools, using scripting languages such as TCL and Perl, testing and deploying flow solutions to design teams and maintaining and supporting the flows, working closely with design and design automation teams.

Qualifications

You should possess a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Additional qualifications include:
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, expertise in at least one scripting or programming language and knowledge of VLSI design fundamentals
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and 'can-do' attitude

Description

Job Description: Component Design Engineers are responsible for the design and development of electronic components. Responsibilities may include: the design of chip layout circuit design, circuit checking, device evaluation and characterization, documentation of specifications, prototype construction and checkout, modification and evaluation of semiconductor devices and components, performing developmental and/or test work, reviewing product requirements and logic diagrams, planning and organizing design projects or phases of design projects. Responds to customer and/or client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.

Qualifications

You should possess a Master of Science (or a Master of Technology) degree in Electrical Engineering and related. Additional qualifications include:
- Good digital and electronics fundamentals
- Good understanding of VLSI and/or ASIC methodology and flow
- Design and verification using HDL and/or HVL (Verilog* and/or System Verilog
- Highly motivated individuals and ability to deal with ambiguity
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good hands-on expertise in Perl and Unix* scripting
